The Chitans
We are Kaiziah 19, Kayandra 17, L. Jesse 15, L. Jayden 13 and Karlainah 10. Our parents are Layne and Karen Chitan.
We are excited about singing wherever we are called upon to do so, and sharing The Love of Jesus with all people, especially the children of the world.
Kaiziah’s life mission is to be a Missionary Teacher, Musician and to feed the poor. So far, she has already started by adopting a child from El Salvador (Jessica) over 6 years ago. She is also a composer of music and poems. She plays piano, alto saxophone, drums, a bit of violin and is teaching herself to play acoustic guitar and tenor sax.
Kayandra wants to be a Doctor and Professional Musician. She has also adopted a child from Guatemala named Maritza. Kayandra also composes music. She plays, piano, flute, drums, rhythm and bass guitar.
Jesse wants to be a Pastor and an Electrical Engineer. He plays piano, drums and bass guitar.
Jayden wants to be a Fireman. He is learning to play piano and alto sax.
Karlainah wants to be an Artist. She is learning to play the piano.
We are home schooled and are active in our community through volunteering in various community activities, such as, street ministry – feeding the homeless (including Nathan Phillips Square Project in Toronto for the past 3 years), visiting and ministering in hospitals, nursing homes, senior homes, community centers and prisons (including We Care Program in Alabama State Prisons). We also sing at religious, cultural and human rights gatherings throughout Canada, the U.S (including The White House and the U.S Congress on Capitol Hill) and in the Caribbean, including Bermuda. We’ve also sung to the Prime Ministers of Jamaica, Grenada, Bermuda and Canada.
We have been privileged to minister with Tiffany Campbell- Dailey, Bridget Blucher, The Collingsworth Family, Wintley Phipps, Bobby Jones on Bobby Jones Presents, Guy Penrod, Woody Wright, Lynda Randle and Russ Taff in Toronto and Bill Gaither and his Homecoming Friends in Windsor, Ontario.
We have also received the Congressional Award from the United States of America for volunteer work done on the streets of Brooklyn, New York.
We are blessed to be able to minister everywhere, but we are also excited to see other young people motivated to get up and do something positive.
We thank you for your prayers and support.
